I'd recommend this hotel for: Couples, Families

"Our stay at the Sofitel Lafayette Square couldn’t be any better. We loved the beautiful rooms and the excellent service. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were beautiful. They have a café and a bar in the lobby, a little pricey but this is a 5 star hotel. They also have 24-hour room service when we didn’t feel like going to one of the numerous restaurants that Washington has to offer. It’s so close to everything and anything we wanted to do in Washington. The hotel is right on the border of the White House and the Smithsonian and all the museums are right there. If you like to walk like we do, you don’t even have to take the Metro, although it is right near the hotel. We can’t wait to go back."
