Dominating South Carolina's north coast, Myrtle Beach is a resort town with a non-stop festival atmosphere that draws people from all over. Located in the middle of what is known as the Grand Strand, it has an impressive array of facilities, and of course, an excellent beach. Famous for golf and other recreational sports, it is a great spot for an active as well as a relaxing vacation.

The number one attraction is the beach, which is rather beautiful; a trip there and a swim in the Atlantic is first on many people's lists. Near the beach, a couple of amusement parks are worth a visit. The Myrtle Beach Pavillion is centrally located and has been around a long time, while the Family Kingdom is right near the ocean and has a huge water park for those uninterested in swimming in salt water.
