A Texas town with history and a prime spot on the Gulf of Mexico, Corpus Christi boasts excellent beaches as well as some interesting attractions. While beach traffic has been a problem in the past, the recently renovated JFK causeway is speeding things up. Despite this improvement though, if you happen to be in Corpus Christi in March, expect huge crowds and inflated prices, as South Padre Island has become one of the country's major spring break destinations.
