If you’re planning a trip to Boston where you hope to cram heaps of sightseeing, shopping and dining into your time, and are taking care of your wallet as well, then the Go Boston Card might just work for you. It’s a typical tourist card that offers entrance to dozens of museums and galleries, along with discounts at some souvenir shops, restaurants and bars.
As far as tourist cards go, the Go Boston Card is pretty flexible, since you can buy it for just one day ($49 for adults, $35 for children), or two, three, five and seven day versions. As usual, the longer the term of your card, the cheaper it works out per day; the week-long card costs $169 ($99 for children). You can order your card online and pick it up for free in Boston or get it mailed to you before you arrive. Watch the website, as they sometimes have sale prices for the longer term cards.
Your card will get you in for free at a large number of Boston attractions, and you can go again if you want, too - the only limit is that you can get in to each place just once per day. A number of day trips and tours are also included, like whale watching, movie tours, visiting the islands or taking river cruises. You can also visit the Museum of Science, MIT Museum, the Boston Children’s Museum and plenty more. And the Go Boston Card is also valid for trips to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket, so it’s really reasonable value.
