Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, The Gateway is a multi-use entertainment and shopping complex that combines the historic with the modern. Included are dozens of shops, restaurants, a residential tower, a 12-theater cinema complex, an IMAX theater, the Clark Planetarium, and the former Union Pacific Train Depot, which now may be rented for weddings, parties, and other private functions.

Stores at The Gateway include Abercrombie and Fitch, Banana Republic, Sur la Table, Bebe, J. Crew, Gap, Build-a-Bear Workshop, Chico’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

In addition to the food court, The Gateway features 14 full-service restaurants. Among these are Applebee’s, Costa Vida, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Rumbi Island Grill, and Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill.

There’s always something going on at The Gateway. Events include book signings, street performers, wine tastings, and visits with seasonal favorites, Santa and the Easter Bunny.

The Gateway is located at Temple and North Rio Grande Streets. Stores are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 9pm and on Sunday from noon to 6pm. For more information, visit The Gateway Web site.
