Year after year, Orlando Florida tops the list of best vacation destinations. It is easy to see why with all this city has to offer. From four major Disney Theme Parks, two Universal Studio Theme parks and countless other attractions - it easily attracts millions of visitors each year. Beyond the theme parks you can also find endless shopping and dining opportunities -the shopping includes every type of store, from tourist shops to high end fashion outlets. Dining ranges from every fast food restaurant you have ever heard of to 5 star dining restaurants. Travelers can visit and stay in Orlando on any budget - hotel rates start at $19 a night! With thousands of rooms available, you can always find a deal - no matter what time of year you are visiting. Chances are your favorite hotel chain is represented here.
How do you get the most out of your visit? First time Orlando visitors should definitely make time for a Disney park or two (we recommend Magic Kingdom and Epcot), Universal (one or two days) and maybe Sea World. Repeat visitors will find new attractions and destinations every time they come back to Orlando and can repeat their favorite parks or try something new - like a Disney water park or a day visiting shopping outlets.
Our best advice when traveling to Orlando -is choosing when to go. If you travel during the cities busiest times (summer and holiday periods) you will face crowds beyond belief. If you are able to travel in “off” months, like January or September you will get to see and do so much more. With everything that Orlando has to offer you will have to plan ahead before traveling. Visiting during the busy seasons is possible, but you may have to sacrifice some parks or attractions.
Also, visitors often feel pressure to see everything in Orlando in one trip - realize this is an unrealistic goal - you will enjoy your vacation much more if you focus on the top attractions you want to see and pace yourself (especially if traveling with young children).
FREE things to do in Orlando include visiting any of the Disney properties - you can check out Disney theme resorts such as Pop Century, where you can view a giant Rubiks Cube or giant Magic 8 ball or visit Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and stroll along the boardwalk, full of entertainment and dining options. You can also visit Universal City Walk or Downtown Disney for FREE - both contain shops, dining options and entertainment for families. Kids will love playing with Legos at the Lego store at Downtown Disney, or take a peek inside the Rainforest Cafe and see the elephants and gorillas.
Orlando is an ever growing city that continually attracts visitors - it is truly a magical destination - and a top US destination city.
