Samsonite Luggage has come a long way since it was first introduced in 1958. The colors are sharper, the pieces now have wheels, and the shapes accommodate all of the latest electronic gadgetry. However, Samsonite is still known for its reliability and its sturdy construction.
Samsonite Silhouette 10
The Samsonite Silhouette 10 line is a matched set with 16 different pieces from which travelers can choose. Among them are a variety of hard-sided “spinners” (rectangular suitcases that will fit down the airplane aisle), a larger jumbo “suiter,” a beauty case, and a soft-sided carry-on tote. All come in brilliant scarlet (ideal for identifying your bag amidst a sea of black suitcases) and black.
Samsonite Pro-DLX
The Samsonite Pro-DLX line offers 20 different pieces from which to choose, all made of 2520 Denier ArmoredĀ® Nylon combined with 1682 Denier ArmoredĀ® Nylon. There’s a backpack, wide enough and with an extra compartment designed to hold a laptop; several upright carry-on bags; a laptop briefcase; and a fold-over garment bag on wheels. All pieces come in either black or medium brown.
