A great place to commune with the spirits this Halloween is aboard the former luxury liner, the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California.
The Ghosts and Legends Tour takes you to places inside the Queen Mary that aren’t shown on a normal tour of this vintage Art Deco ship. The tour is supplemented with special effects and lots of historical information to make it especially fun.
The most likely place to spot a ghost is at the swimming pool. Once populated with laughing swimmers, this area is now the most popular place for ghost sightings. You might see a woman swimming here only to realize that she’s dressed in an outdated bathing suit and cap and that she disappears at the end of the pool. If you look closely at the ground, you may see wet footprints appear in a line walking away from the pool as though this lady swimmer is making a rapid retreat.
Tickets are $23 for adults, $12 for children and $20 for seniors and members of the military. Visit www.ghostsandlegends.com/gl/index.php?section=tours for more information.
